Another chapter of Eden complete. What do you think?

Originally I wanted to put the whole conversation between Joshua and Noel in one chapter, but I didn't want this chapter to be that big. I thought it would alienate the reader with too much philosophy.

The other way I wanted to do it was to break the first section up between bits of the Noel Joshua conversation, but that was much to hard to write without confusing the reader.

I am afraid the lion thing might confuse the reader, or that it came off cheesy. I'm interested to know what you all think. Please let me know.
